Managing your workspace and team(s)

Learn how to can invite and manage team members and assign roles through the Team Management page.

Adding team members 

As the owner of a Wordpond workspace, you can add coworkers by clicking Team in the panel under your avatar in the top right corner. When you create an account, you automatically are the owner of the Workspace.

On the Team Management page, a short form allows for the invitation of new members via email. Only Owners and Admins can add other members or invite new users to their Workspace.

Add the email addresses of the persons you want to add to your Workspace.

  • An invitation will be sent to the specified email addresses, asking the recipient to join your Wordpond workspace.
  • When invited users follow the link from the email, they will be asked to complete their profile on Wordpond, and they will be added to your Workspace.

When an invited user completes their profile, their status on your team member dashboard changes from 'Pending' to 'Active.'

Any user can also create their own Workspace on Wordpond. With the toggle in the left-side navigation, they can switch between their personal Workspace (s) and the one they were invited to.

 

 

Managing Teams & Roles

On the 'Team Members' panel, you can also:

  • remove members from your Workspace
  • change the roles of the team members

To remove a team member from your Workspace, click the Delete icon.

To change the roles of a team member, click the Edit icon.

 

Assigning roles:

You can assign any of the following roles to your team members:

 

Viewer

Viewers can only view content in publications.

Editor

Editors can perform all actions related to content creation:

  • create and edit articles in your publication
  • add Issues to a Publication
  • etc

Admins

Admins can do all of the above and manage team members and publications.

Admins do not have access to Billing information.

Owners

This is the highest level. Owners have all rights to a workspace, and only they can delete it.

Billing

Billing is a special role specifically made for accounting support. Team members with the billing role have the lowest access to your publication but full access to all billing-related information.

 

Multiple Workspaces

You can accept invites in multiple workspaces with the same email address.
