You can control which publications search engines crawl and index. This is useful for publications that are not intended for the general public or when you want to create a 404 page or a landing page, for example.
To disable search engine indexing:
- Go to Publication Settings > SEO & Social
- Set 'Disable search engine indexing' to "ON"
- Click 'Save changes.'
Important note:
Content from your publication may still be indexed, even if the crawling by search engines is prevented, for example, when your content was previously available, or when search engines follow a direct link to an article from other content.

The blocking is performed by placing a <meta> tag into the <head> section of the articles.
